Author's Statement
In China, people know the western world from different media, mostly biased or twisted. I have been living in New York City for ten years. Every time I go back to China to visit family and friends, I realize they have lots of misunderstandings of American life and culture. So I try to explain and clarify. In this book, I want to bring the truth about immigrants' life to my readers in China. An authentic New York, a real America, not through biased media or propaganda. The story is a fiction, but also a documentary, based on real-life stories and events. I wrote the story in Chinese, created the illustrations for the story, in Queens, NYC.
If interested, it can be purchased from Amazon and eBay.
